The olive oil we use at Yeshakem Soap Shoppe is exclusively imported from the fertile coastal region of southern Italy, where olive trees are cultivated and harvested using age-old, natural sustainable methods on family-owned and run farms. We make our pure olive oil soaps using the 'cold-process' method. This process is lengthy and involves many steps from saponification to setting. Our olive oil blend varieties (also cold processed) also go through several more additional steps of milling and 'superfatting' with additional hydrating oils such as coconut, soy or almond. Our natural curing process is just as methodical and protected. It's a little bit like giving birth for us--by the time a bar of our soap is sold, we have invested literally months in its creation! Yes, that's slow, but we don't mind...that's how we bring you the purest and mildest bar of soap. And from the bottom of our hearts, you're worth it!
